We’re closing shop

Good design should be timeless. I hope that our offerings will continue to fit right into your hopes for decades to come.

After 20+ years of making interactive gifts that encourage creativity, we have made the bittersweet decision to close shop. It has been a good run. I was an aspiring student when I first started working for Elements2 Design. Creating the branding and packaging for Shadow Magnets was my first real-world project as a baby graphic designer. In 2021, I became the owner of this business when the founder needed someone to continue his side quest. Since then, we’ve grown this community of like-minded folk who value the art of visual story-telling through interactive play. We’ve made toys for our toys with the introduction of Shadow Magnets Accessories. We’ve shared in something special.

So why are we closing now?

It has become abundantly clear that Elements2 needs to expontially grow in order to remain viable in today’s market. I am not the person for this task. We spent a good part of this year talking with people who might be up for the challenge, but we were unable to find a good fit. And that’s why we’re closing. But before we do, we’ve got one enormous, monumental task that we can use your help on.

Help us clear out our inventory.

We know that what we offer is unique. Practically everything’s on sale, so grab your must-haves now. Once we close, that’s it. We will be increasing discounts through the end of of the year, but there’s always a chance of selling out.

Do you know of any schools or nonprofits who could make good use of our products? Dance schools? After-school programs? We’d love to work something out. Shadow Magnets have proven themselves to make excellent gifts. Think upcoming corporate and donor holiday events. Our goal is to find homes and minimize waste. We’d love to work with anyone willing claim lots. Email us!

*************

With all sincerity, thank you for supporting Elements2 Design. You are all the sweetest people, patient and encouraging towards a stranger who unexpectedly became a business owner while knowing nothing about running a business. I treasure the stories that you’ve shared about kids, partners, friends, and colleagues finding delight. This will be a long good-bye. Let’s make it a good one.
