Larger Than Life

Here at Elements2 Design, we generally focus on things that brighten the desktop in a convenient size. That said, we also harbor dreams of making big things. The bigger, the cooler. We're not alone in this sentiment. Scale creates instant impact. A quick Google search brings up all sorts of everyday items that artists have blown up to unreal proportions. The following are a couple of our favorites:

Henk Hofstra is another artist who trades in all things larger than life when it comes public installations. Imagine the conversations that happened in order to receive city approval.

the EYE by Tony Tasset

A realistic rendering of an eyeball isn't usually something to gawk at, but one that's 3-stories tall? It's hard to not have an opinion about something this big.

So back to our dreams about making big things. In this dream, not only do we blow up our He and She sculptures, we also collaborate with the masters for a tricked out custom paint job.

...or Jackson Pollock...

...or Mondrian.

We would also place these interactive sculptures in a plaza or city square. How cool would that be?
